Body Found Floating In Quinnipiac River In New Haven, Police Working To ID Police in Connecticut are working to identify a body that was found floating in the Quinnipiac River.  The body was found around 4 p.m. in New Haven on Sunday,  June 11 when police were dispatched to Front Street on the report of a body floating, According to New Haven Police Capt. Rose Dell, the New Haven Fire Department recovered the body, which was pronounced dead on the scene by a paramedic. Three Pipe Bombs Located Under City Bridge; Bomb Squad Called In State police bomb squad investigators completed a search of a body of water in Meriden after a third pipe bomb was located. The incident took place over the weekend sometime on Saturday, Nov. 15, or Sunday, Nov. 15, in the area by Red Bridge on Oregon Road, said Meriden Police Sgt. Darrin McKay.
