Mendelssohn Davis, Jr., 28, of Woodbridge, put out quite a show for store employees at 7-Eleven on Richmond Highway over the weekend before causing mayhem for members of the Stafford County Sheriff’s, leading to a host of charges for the man.
Deputies were called to 7-Eleven shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20 to the store, where there was a man - later identified as Davis - who was possibly intoxicated and inside the store causing a nuisance.
Davis proceeded to get into a car and was leaving as deputies arrived, who subsequently initiated a traffic stop when his vehicle began drifting off the road, according to the sheriff’s office.
During the stop, officials say that Davis “immediately started yelling toward (the deputy) and would not identify himself.”
The deputy reported that he could smell alcohol on his breath, and an enraged Davis was placed in the back of a sheriff’s cruiser, where he kicked at the door with enough force to dent it.
According to officials, while in custody, “(Davis) advised that the Sheriff’s Office would ‘feel his anger,’ and that much like the Terminator, ‘he’d be back.’”
Davis was charged with:
- Driving under the influence;
- Driving while suspended;
- Obstruction of justice;
- Destruction of property.
He’s being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
