13 Dead, 4,475 Speeders Stopped Over Labor Day Weekend In Virginia Thirteen people died in 10 traffic crashes over Labor Day weekend in Virginia, and five of the accidents involved motorcycles, State Police said. Virginia State Police also stopped 4,475 speeders and 1,945 reckless drivers. State troopers also cited 491 seat belt violations and 150 child restraint violations, over the holiday weekend.
