Kite Fight Crackdown: Fairfax County Puts Stop To Sharp-Stringed Game Officials in Fairfax County are cracking down on a popular kite game involving sharp and dangerous strings. The Fairfax County Park Authority has banned "kite fighting" among its parks, citing an uptick of reports of harm to wildlife, vegetation, maintenance equipment and the inherent risks to public safety.  Individuals seen kite fighting will be asked to stop, and those who refuse or repeatedly violate this rule, may be banned from park use.
