Officials ID Mother Who Plunged 100 Feet To Her Death In Virginia Cave A 38-year-old woman hiking in a Virginia cave plummeted nearly 100 feet to her death, according to officials. Authorities have identified Fairlawn resident Autumn Nicole Draper - also known as Nikki Koert - as the person who was killed in Giles County over the weekend after falling to her death inside a cave in Staffordsville outside of Pearisburg. One Dead, One Injured In Virginia Mine Cave-In A cave-in at a Virginia mine left an equipment manager of a chemical plant dead and another employee injured, officials announced. First responders were dispatched to the Hoist Chemical Lime Plant in Ripplemead on Monday, June 20, where there was a report of an incident inside the mine in Giles County, authorities said.
