A purse snatcher from DC who targeted her victim and stalked her prey before a Frederick robbery is back in Maryland to face criminal charges, police say. District resident Nola Ann Michelle Bens, 59, is behind bars in Frederick County after she was arrested in Alexandria in connection to a February assault and robbery that left a woman with "significant injuries." Schools Employee From Fairfax County Showed Porn To Three Children: Police
An Arlington Public Schools Extended Day employee is facing charges for showing pornography to three juveniles, police said. Matthew Pineda, 18, of Fairfax County, is charged with possession of child pornography and assault and battery. Police said he became the center of an investigation on April 19 and was being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Center. Monna Islam was feeling lucky. That’s the reason the Falls Church resident bought a 20X the Money ticket from the Virginia Lottery, according to a release on the VA Lottery website. He told Lottery officials that as he scratched the ticket, it looked like he was going to win $10 or $20. Then he discovered he’d just won the game’s $1 million top prize. Mohab Helmy Dies In Burke Motorcycle Crash
Police have identified the motorcyclist killed Wednesday night, April 24 in Fairfax County. Mohab Helmy, 50, of Burke, was heading west on Old Keene Mill Road in Burke on a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle when he struck a 2005 Toyota sedan making a left turn onto Old Keene Mill Road from a shopping center just after 10 p.m., county police said. A 38-year-old man with ties to Virginia has been arrested for generating and possessing child pornography, police said. Jason Robert Fragale, of Leesburg, VA and Kissimmee, FL, was arrested in February at a Florida airport, in an apparent attempt to flee the country, Virginia State Police said in a joint release with officials in Florida. A 37-year-old Prince William County woman has been charged with felony child neglect stemming from an argument this week, police said. Ange Nizigiyimana Swinton prevented a family member under the age of 18 from entering the house on the 1300 block of Rail Stop Drive in Woodbridge for an extended period of time during a fight, Prince William County police said. Bomb Threat Clears Prince William County School (

A bomb threat was called into a Prince William County elementary school Thursday morning, April 25, police said. Authorities were on scene at T Clay Wood Elementary School in Nokesville as of 10:15 a.m. a report of a bomb threat to the school. No devices were located and the school was evacuated temporarily. Patrons will be allowed back inside following a search of the school.
