Tree-Climbing Bear Captured After Putting On Show In Northeast DC
Some residents in Northeast DC had a surprise visitor on Friday morning when a playful bear took in the sights before ultimately being tranquilized by first responders. On Friday, June 9, the DC Police Department issued an alert regarding a large black bear that was hanging out in a tree in the 1300 block of Franklin Street NE, leading to road closures in the area as Animal Care and Control personnel responded.
