Two cherished Jersey City bars have announced they will be closing their doors, leaving the community heartbroken. The announcements from Fox & Crow and Barcade both came on Thursday, Feb. 6, marking the end of an era for locals.
Known for its cozy atmosphere, live music, and vibrant neighborhood vibe, Fox & Crow closed for winter break in January, and never reopened. The bar shared its heartfelt farewell on social media, announcing that it will be closing after 12 memorable years.

Party City Going Out Of Business, Closing All 800 Stores, Including 42 In NY
The party is over for a popular chain store that's been in business for decades.
Party City is āwinding downā operations immediately at its approximately 800 locations, CEO Barry Litwin told corporate employees in a video call on Friday, Dec. 20, CNN reports.
Workers were told they will not receive severance pay, and that their benefits would end as the company goes out of business, CNN says.
The company, headquartered in in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, is running low on cash and unable to pay rent in some locations, according to an earlier Bloomberg report.

Saltaire Oyster Bar and Kitchen, located in Port Chester at 55 Abendroth Ave., will open for the last time on Sunday, July 14, the owners announced on social media on Friday, July 5.
The owners, Leslie and Elizabeth Barnes, did not make a reason for the closure public.

Craig's Fine Jewelry, a Main Street staple in Ridgefield, is closing on Friday, March 29, as the owner Billy Craig retires, a sign in the window announced.
