Screaming Winds, Pouring Rain Could Trigger Outages In Powerful Weekend Storm (Timing)

A weekend warmup will culminate in "screaming" winds and heavy rain along the East Coast come Sunday evening, Dec. 10, forecasters say.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday, Dec. 8 will be sunny with a high around 50, and a low of 32. Saturday, Dec. 9 with be even warmer: 55 with patchy fog in the morning, then partly sunny.
Temps will reach a high of 65 on Sunday, with rain expected to begin in the late afternoon.

Alyson Garino, a Bergen County native and highly-respected First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, died on Dec. 2, 2023. She was 30 years old.
A graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy, Alyson went on to attend Penn State University, State College, and graduated with honors in 2015, according to her obituary on the Becker Funeral Home website. A Schreyer Scholar, she majored in English and minored in Military Studies. Support is surging for the family of Sean Gannon, a 31-year-old Army combat medic who died on Nov. 18, 2023.
Gannon, of Fredericksburg, leaves behind his wife, Julie Gannon, and their two daughters.
More than $13,400 had been raised on a GoFundMe for the Gannon girls as of Thursday, Dec. 7.

Andrew Delgado, a Facebook-verified digital creator, started the event seemingly as a joke.
"Celebrating another successful year of picking, paying, and bagging your own groceries while actual employees just stand around and check receipts," the Facebook event reads.
But then, Delgado's event got more than 20,000 RSVPs.
