Man Walking Dog Dies 9 Days After Being Struck, York Co. Coroner Says An 88-year-old man has died just over a week after he was hit by a pick-truck, the York County Coroner's office announced on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.  John Smeltzer of the 100 block of Claire Avenue, Hellam Borough was crossing West Market Street with his dog when he was struck by a 2017 Chevy Silverado turning onto the road from South Lee Street around 5:30pm on May 3, 2023, authorities explained.  Smeltzer was taken to WellSpan York Hospital where he died from blunt force trauma to his head at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, as certified by Deputy Coroner Michelle Rau.  The …

Nicole, located about 380 miles east-northeast of the Bahamas as of early Tuesday morning, Nov. 8, is moving northwest. Community Support Grows For PA Family Of Ocean City Drowning Victim Community support is growing for the Pennsylvania family of a 56-year-old man who drowned in Ocean City. Shawn Reilly, of Thornhurst, was on vacation with his wife, Nicole, and their 21-year-old son when he was pulled under by strong currents on Thursday, Sept. 8, DailyVoice.com reported.
