Late PA Dad Leaves Behind Infant, Pregnant Wife
Ryan P. McKnight of Springfield, a devoted husband and father, died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 29, loved ones said in his obituary. He was 30.
A Delaware County native, McKnight attended both St. Francis of Assisi School and Springfield High School before continuing his studies at Pennsylvania State University, relatives said in his obit.
It was during his time as a Nittany Lion that Ryan met his future wife, Colleen "Bean" Lake, according to loved ones.

Delaware County native Joseph E. "Joey" Bracken died on Aug. 15 at the age of 32.
Born in Drexel Hill, he grew up playing hockey and baseball, according to his obituary.
He graduated from Upper Darby High School, his obit says.

DelCo Burglars Ransacked, Lived In Home For Week While Homeowner Was Away, Radnor Police Say
A pair of burglars were apprehended Sunday after police found they ransacked and lived in a Delaware County home for nearly a week while the homeowner was away, authorities said.
A Radnor Township resident arrived on Sunday, Aug. 15 to find that their Matsonford house had been ransacked, police said.
An officer and K-9 Urrsi were sent inside the house where they found Nicole DiPietro, 39, of Springfield, hiding inside the home, Radnor Township police said. She was taken into custody without incident.

Longtime Springfield School District Employee, Catherine M. Jenkins Dies, 67
Catherine M. Jenkins of Springfield died on April 6. She was 67-years-old.
Born in Philadelphia, Jenkins worked with special needs children for 13 years as part of her employment with the Springfield School District in Delaware County, according to her obituary.
Jenkins' obituary remembered her as someone who "enjoyed gardening, singing, reading, summers at the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren."
Jenkins graduated from Wesley College in 1973 and Dickinson College in 1975, her obit says.
