Lower Merion Social Studies Teacher Killed In Car Crash, District Says Tim Mohan, a longtime teacher at Bala Cynwyd Middle School, died in a car accident on Tuesday, April 2, according to the Lower Merion School District.  Mohan, who also served as the school's Athletics and Activities Director, was a husband and father who taught social studies at Bala Cynwyd for 30 years, administrators said in a statement.  “Mr. Mohan was a pillar of the BC Community who loved and cared for his students," said BCMS Principal Jeffrey Hunter.  "Each day since 1993, he could be seen greeting his students with a smile in the hallway. College Student MedEvac'd After Struck By Car In Central PA: Police An 18-year-old girl has been hospitalized after being struck in a crosswalk in Gettysburg, police announced on Friday.  The Gettysburg College Student was crossing Washington Street at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue around 11 a.m. on Aug. 25.  A 78-year-old Gettysburg resident driving a 2008 Toyota van was traveling west on Lincoln Ave and attempted to turn south onto North Washington St. "The van struck the pedestrian who was reported to be in the crosswalk," the police said.  Another driver was stopped at the intersection and later told police that they waived the girl…

Bethlehem Police Officer Matthew Ragusa Who Died By Suicide Gave Others Hope The Lehigh Valley community is mourning the loss of a Bethlehem police officer who died by suicide on July 4. Matthew Ragusa was "a beckon of light to countless citizens who needed hope in their darkest hour," wrote Robert Corsi. Corsi organized a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses and other needs for his wife Stephanie, and three sons, Xavier, 13, Braxton, 10, and Lex, 6. The campaign had raised more than $33,000 as of Thursday evening.
