'Credible' Threat Prompts Restrictions At Lcti, Suspect In Custody: Admins An "external threat" received by Lehigh Career and Technical Institute administrators led to restrictions on campus on Tuesday, March 12, according to school officials.  LCTI did not describe the threat but said state police found it "credible." Movement was restricted on campus until all high school students were dismissed at 3:17 p.m., administrators said in a message on their website.  Evening adult education classes will continue as scheduled.  Upper Macungie police have arrested a suspect in connection with the incident, LCTI said.

Victims ID'd In Fatal Lehigh Crash: Coroner Officials have identified the two men killed in an accident on a rural Lehigh County road Sunday evening.  Christoper C. Schaffer, 25, and Patrick A. Phyrillas, 22, both of Reading, were passengers in a vehicle that collided with a tractor-trailer on Jan. 29, said county Coroner Daniel A. Buglio in a release.  The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. near the corner of Hamilton Boulevard and Folk Road in Upper Macungie, the coroner continued. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force head injuries, and their deaths have been ruled accidental, he added.  …

Upper Macungie police and the Lehigh County Municipal Emergency Response Team were called to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Allentown West on Tilghman Street in Allentown on a report of a man in "mental distress," around 10:40 a.m., they said. Lehigh Valley Worker Killed In Forklift Accident: Coroner A 61-year-old worker was killed Monday, March 14 in a forklift accident at a Lehigh Valley facility, authorities said. Russell Molter, of Zionsville, was working at the Home Depot distribution center in the 8000 block of Willard Drive in Breinigsville when two forklifts collided, seriously injuring Molter's leg, Upper Macungie Police Lt.
