More than 75 Philadelphia firefighters responded to an early morning blaze in Strawberry Mansion on Tuesday, March 12, according to authorities. John J. Devlin, a longtime member and one-time deputy commissioner of the Philadelphia Fire Department, died last Sunday, Jan. 14, his colleagues said. He was 74. Devlin, of the Fox Chase section of Northeast Philly, served in the department for 40 years before retiring in 2013, according to his obituary. Kyle Prince Joselin was heading north in a 2009 black Chevrolet Cobalt on the 10000 block of Academy Road when he lost control around 12:55 a.m., city police said.
