Third Man Dies In Reading Shooting Spree: Report A third man has died after a 24-hour shooting spree in Reading, WFMZ reports. Samuel Castillo, 36, died Monday, Aug. 1 at Reading Hospital after being found shot inside a vehicle on Locust Street and Greenwich Street around 12:35 a.m., the outlet says citing the county coroner's office. Two other men were also killed in separate shootings in the city within 24 hours of each other, authorities said. Three Shootings, Two Murders Within 24 Hours In Reading: PD Two men were killed and one was wounded in separate shootings that happened within 24 hours in Reading, authorities said. The first shooting broke out on the 400 block of Spring Garden Street, where responding officers found Edwin Rivera-Valentín around 3 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, Reading Police Chief Richard Tornielli said. Rivera-Valentín was pronounced dead at the scene. Approximately 50 minutes later, officers were called to the 1200 block of Church Street, where they found Quadell Spradley, the chief said. Fast-Acting Residents Stab Armed Burglar In Reading: Police An armed burglar was stabbed by a resident over the weekend in Reading, authorities said. Marley Serra-Seeley, 34, of Reading, broke into a Locust Street home and threatened the residents with a gun around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 15, Reading Police Chief Richard Tornielli said. A fight broke out, resulting in shots being fired and Serra-Seeley being stabbed in the neck, the chief said.
