Students Charged In Shooting Near Penn Wood High School: Lansdowne PD A trio of Penn Wood High School students face criminal charges after gunfire rang out just blocks from campus on Friday afternoon, Oct. 20, authorities say.  “This was a truly brazen act,” said Lansdowne Police Chief Kenneth Rutherford.  “Students were firing at other students during dismissal. Hundreds of kids were out there. It’s nothing short of a miracle that someone wasn’t killed."
