New Details Released In Philadelphia Eid al-Fitr Shooting Authorities have named the Philadelphia police officer who shot a teen during the shooting at an Eid al-Fitr celebration last Wednesday, April 10.  Officer Diamond Jaynes has been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of the Internal Affairs and Officer-Involved Shooting Investigations, PPD said in a release.  Five people in total were arrested after two groups exchanged gunfire in Clara Muhammad Square around 2:30 p.m., authorities have said.  One of them, 21-year-old Kahbir Oglesby-Hicks, was charged with Violation of the Uniformed Firearms Act (VUFA)…

NJ Dad Gets 10 Years In 4-Month-Old Son's Bogus Bed-Rolling Death: Prosecutor A South Jersey dad has been sentenced to a decade behind bars in the death of his 4-month-old son. Jose Rojas, of Hamilton Township, was sentenced on a charge of manslaughter to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill said. He is also subject to three years of parole supervision upon release from prison.
