Kristiana Joy King was run over by a skid loader on the 700 block of East End Mountain Road in Lamar Township at 4:33 p.m., on Wednesday, April 5, according to a release by Mill Hall police late on Friday.

Witnesses told police that a family member was using the loader to push a feed wagon full grain, and didn't realized the infant was "behind the rear wheel of the wagon resulting in the child being struck," the police said.

Despite life-saving efforts, Kristiana succumbed to injuries in the Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room later that day, the family explained in her obituary.

Kristiana was born in Danville on Sept. 16, 2021, according her obituary.

She is survived by her father, Levi E. King; mother, Naomi Mae (Glick) King; two brothers, Jonathan Daniel, Michael Jay King; four sisters, Rachel Sue, Elizabeth Grace, Amanda Kate and twin sister, Kathleen Marie King; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Susie King; maternal grandparents, Jonathan and Martha Glick; maternal great grandparents, Katie Stoltzfus along with Henry and Salomie Glick, as detailed in her obituary.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 at 10:00 AM in her home with "a viewing will be held from the time of this notice until the time of service at the residence. The burial will take place at the East End Cemetery, Mill Hall," as stated in her obituary.

A similar incident happened in Ephrata killing a 3-year-old on Aug. 26, 2022, as Daily Voice reported at the time. Less than three months later, the girl's father was arrested and charged with a felony for a parent or guardian endangering the welfare of a child. You can read more about this incident here

The farm where Kristiana was run over had over a dozen USDA violations between 2020 and July 2022, for farming equipment issues relating to the health, safety, and care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters, according to documents obtained by Daily Voice. Her father was fined $4,000 for the violations.

This deadly incident has been ruled accidental, according to the Mill Hall police.
