An unmarked box of coloring books led the Lancaster Public Library to cancel a story hour scheduled for Saturday with a "professional drag entertainer" city officials told Daily Voice. Nationwide Recall Issued For Meat Products Due To Possible Contamination
A nationwide recall has been issued for a brand of meat products. Fratelli Beretta USA, Inc., based in Mount Olive, NJ, says the undetermined amount of ready-to-eat (RTE) meat charcuterie products containing Coppa may be under-processed, which may have resulted in possible contamination with foodborne pathogens. The recall was announced by the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The Coppa products have various best-by-dates. The USDA has issued a warning to consumers after rocks were found inside a prepackaged chicken meal from Trader Joe's. The ready-to-eat chicken 14-ounce packages are labeled as "Trader Joe's Chicken, Lentil and Caramelized Onion Pilaf with Saffron Basmati Rice, Dark Chicken Meat, Dates, and Golden Raisins." The 18-month-old girl killed by a family member in a farming accident in Central Pennsylvania has been identified. Kristiana Joy King was run over by a skid loader on the 700 block of East End Mountain Road in Lamar Township at 4:33 p.m., on Wednesday, April 5, according to a release by Mill Hall police late on Friday. The animal trucking company involved in a high-profile crash that had escaped monkeys running around Pennsylvania has been shut down by federal officials. E. Coli Concerns Prompt Recall Of 120,000 Pounds Of Ground Beef: USDA
Ground beef products from a New Jersey-based meat manufacturer are being recalled over possible E. coli contamination, the USDA reports. Lakeside Refrigerated Services, which is based in Swedesboro, is recalling more than 120,000 pounds of ground beef products sold from Feb. 1 to April 8, the USDA reports.
