Horse Lover, Penn National Raceway Worker Dies After Dauphin County Head-On Crash
A 39-year-old horse lover and Penn National Race Course worker has died following a head-on crash, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday, Sept. 13.
Melissa J. Risser, of Grantville, previously of Lebanon County, died at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center after the crash at Mountain and Firehouse roads in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, on Sunday, Sept. 6, according to police and her obituary.
Risser was driving west on Mountain Road around 1:55 p.m. when her 2006 Toyota Scion crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a 2014 Ram 3500 head-on, police said.

A Pennsylvania businessman who previously went to federal prison for running a $3.4 million Ponzi scheme involving bogus jewelry deals has been sentenced again after defrauding investors out of more than $755,000, authorities said.
Matthew James Addy, 47, of Lancaster, was sentenced to 75 months — more than six years — in federal prison on Monday, Aug. 31, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf said.
