Third Person Killed In Targeted Shooting In Three Days In Central PA Neighborhood: Police

A 23-year-old man has been shot dead, in the second deadly shooting incident in one central Pennsylvania neighborhood in just three days, according to the police.

Harrisburg police were called to a shooting near 17th and Zarker streets in the Allison Hill area of Harrisburg on Wednesday, Mar. 16 around 7 p.m., according to the release.

Upon arrival officers learned the injured man had been taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle. 

When officers spoke with hospital officials, they learned the man had been "declared deceased as a result of his injuries," the release states.

This deadly shooting comes just three days after Shawn Hairston and Anna Scott were shot dead in a home near 16th and Zarker streets.

Both deadly shooting incidents are believed to be "targeted," the police say.

Investigations into both shootings are ongoing.
