I-81 Avocado Spill Leaves Tractor-Trailer Dangling: PennDOT A truck carrying avocados has spilled on Interstate 81, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials.  The tractor-trailer, "failed to make a curve" from the I-81 North ramp to US 22 around 8 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler explained.  The trailer split open– along with hundreds of avocados, as they rolled, smooshed, and splattered onto the highway below.
