First Baby Of 2024 Welcomed At WellSpan York Hospital Just two minutes after midnight the first baby of 2024 came into the world at WellSpan York Hospital.  Grayson Hayes Zornes was born at 12:02 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024. First New Year's Baby Welcomed At WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital Not quite a strike of midnight birth, but baby Mattie was the first infant to come into the world in 2024 at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.  Mattie Ann Eckenrode was born at 3:43 a.m. She weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long. Her proud but sleepy parents are Renee Cuff and Matthew Eckenrode. Head-On Collision Kills Mercersburg Solider, Chambersburg Man, State Police Say A head-on collision has killed two people and sent another to an area hospital, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Richard E. Cowan, 69, of Chambersburg, drove his 2015 Ford Transit over the center turning lane in the 8100 block of US 30/Lincoln Way slamming head-on into a 2019 Hyundai Accent, driven Maura J.
