A woman was hospitalized after "standing rain water on the roadway" made her lose control of her SUV, Upper Allen Township police announced Wednesday evening. The police were called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash on US Route 15 northbound, near the East Winding Hill Road exit, around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, the department detailed in the release. One person has died following a crash on US Route 15 on Wednesday, according to Upper Allen Township Police. Donna Teeter, 82 of Mechanicsburg had a heart condition that led her to crash, according to Cumberland County Coroner Charles Hall. The fatal single-vehicle crash happened on US Rt 15 near mile marker 39.7 around 2:50 p.m. on Dec. 6, according to township police. The coroner has clarified that her heart condition killed her, not the crash. Five people were taken to the hospital following a two-car crash in Upper Allen Township, according to officials. It happened Friday evening, Nov. 3 just after 6 p.m., township police said. A driver in a gray Ford Fusion on Clark Street ran a stop sign at Louise Drive and pulled in front of an oncoming Hyundai Elantra, said authorities. A woman was hurt when her car slammed into a firetruck on Tuesday, authorities announced on July 27, 2023. The woman was driving her Subaru at a high rate of speed in the 1200 block of East Lisburn Road near Gutshall Lane in Upper Allen Township when she lost control of her vehicle, area police detailed in a release on Thursday. A fire broke out Sunday afternoon in Upper Allen Township, according to Emergency Dispatch Services. The fire was in on the 900 block of Thornton Drive, it started around 1 p.m. Crews remained on the scene for over an hour, closing the road to thru traffic. No official statement has been made on the cause of the fire or the estimated cost of the damage. No injuries were reported.
