Man Dies In Custody After Methamphetamine-Fueled Standoff In Clay Twp.: Authorities A man serving a 23-month sentence for probation violations following a methamphetamine-fueled standoff has died in police custody, officials announced on Monday, Feb. 26.  Donald Gene Hess, 56 of Stevens, was pronounced dead of natural causes at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital at 10:58 a.m. on Feb. 24, Lancaster County Officials detailed in the release.  Stevens had been an inmate in the Lancaster County Prison since June 18, the day after the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police used a form of pepper spray to get him out of a shed where he was barricaded follo…
