The younger brother of a wanted man and son of a registered sex offender has been arrested following a standoff on Tuesday, Jan. 3, authorities say. Nofil Gulfam Swati, 26, had called 911 after a threat posted on social media was causing concern, according to a release around 6 p.m. by the Lower Paxton Township police. Two Penn State Altoona students have been arrested in connection to threats they made on social media, authorities say. Juan Namakura, 19, of Illinois, was arrested first followed by Benjamin Dous, 20, of Pennsylvania for posting threats on the social media app Yik Yak — posting on the Altoona Penn State campus within 5 miles of each other on Oct. 30, according to the criminal complaints obtained by Daily Voice. A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a school shooting threat which shuttered an entire school district in central Pennsylvania on Wednesday, June, 1, according to the school.
