N. Middleton Twp. Police: Car Sinking In Conodoguinet Creek A pair escaped from a car sinking into Conodoguinet Creek on Tuesday night, police announced on Thursday, Dec. 28. The North Middleton Police Department received a call "for a report of multiple people trapped within a vehicle, sinking into the Conodoguinet Creek," at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Dec. 26, the department detailed in the release.  Officers responded to the North Middleton Park boat launch at Park Avenue, Waggoners Gap Road in Carlisle. Pennsylvania American Water issued the order on Oct. 17 after the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection opened an investigation into the "reports of a petroleum-type odor and sheen on the Conodoguinet Creek in Silver Spring Township," as stated in a release by the PA DEP.
