Massive Crash Involving School Bus Halts Traffic At I-79, 422 Interchange

A serious crash involving a school bus has halted traffic on interstate 79, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The multi-vehicle crash happened along interstate 79 northbound between Exit 96: PA 488 - PORTERSVILLE/PROSPECT and Exit 105: PA 108 - SLIPPERY ROCK, according to PennDOT.

Multiple medical vehicles, including helicopters were called to the scene just after 5 p.m., according to numerous broadcast news reports and as seen on PennDOT's 511pa.

The crash involves a school bus, as reported by WPXI.

All northbound lanes of I-79 are closed in the area of Worth Township, Butler County.

The number of vehicles involved and condition of the persons injured is not immediately available.
