'South American Theft Group' Targeted 'Affluent' Montco Homes, Police Say Police in Abington Township say they arrested four would-be burglars casing a Meadowbrook neighborhood.  A detective was patrolling an area that had been targeted by thieves in the past when he noticed a car driving around suspiciously on Friday night, Dec. 8, the department said in a release.  When he stopped the car, the four men inside said they had driven to Pennsylvania from California to visit a friend and were looking for a restaurant, according to authorities. Man Who Punched West Chester Home Window In Attempted Burglary In Custody An Ardmore man is facing attempted burglary charges after he allegedly punched through the back door window of a home in West Chester over the weekend, authorities said. Officers responded to the 200 block of West Union Street on a report of an unknown male attempting to enter a home around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, West Chester police said.
