The owner of the dump truck that killed a pregnant Montgomery County mom is now facing criminal charges, authorities say. Kellie Adams of Lansdale, 31, and her Upper Providence firefighter husband Jason were expecting a child when she was struck head-on by a DWI dump truck driver in August 2022, prosecutors have said. A 66-year-old Philadelphia passenger has died from her injuries in a wrong-way drunk driving crash in South Jersey, authorities said. Melinda S. Hart died Tuesday at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, Gloucester Township police said on Monday, March 21. Hart was a passenger in a car that was hit head-on about 2 p.m. on Feb. 24 on the Black Horse Pike near Landing Road. A PA man was intoxicated when he was found with a box of hollow-point bullets at a gas station on Route 206, police said. Police responding to a report of an erratic driver on Route 206 found Ronald E. Whitaker slumped over the steering wheel at the Shell gas station in Stanhope on Oct. 30, Byram Township police said in a Wednesday release. Whitaker, of New Milford, PA, was awoken by officers who felt that he was intoxicated. Whitaker subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests, authorities said. Driver In Head-On Cape May Crash Was DWI, NJ State Police Say
A 19-year-old man from South Jersey was charged with driving while intoxicated after a collision in which he was seriously hurt, authorities said. The other driver also was injured in the two-car head-on crash that occurred Monday night in Cape MayCounty, a New Jersey State Police spokesman said.
