Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Kills Pennsylvania Driver
An 80-year-old man died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning following a Wednesday evening crash in Northampton County, authorities said. The crash occurred on Route 512 (Moorestown Road) at Broad Road in Bushkill Township just after 5:55 p.m., Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said. Michael A. Delvecchio, of Bath Borough, was a front passenger that struck a bridge guardrail, Lysek said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police ID Skeletal Remains In Lehigh Valley As 'Kunkletown Killer'
Police have identified the skeletal remains found by hunters in the Lehigh Valley as belonging to a convicted killer. Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said the bones were those of William S. Edelman, Jr., a 65-year-old who most recently lived in Catasauqua. The remains were located just before 4:30 p.m. Monday in a secluded portion of the Appalachian Trail in Moore Township, the coroner said. The head of one Pennsylvania town's public works department was charged with harassing and terrorizing a pair of 11- and 12-year-old boys, at one point telling them he'd have his son "bash their skulls in," several news reports say citing authorities. Arrest Made In 2021 Shooting That Left Allentown Man Dead
A Northampton County man is facing a homicide charge and weapons offenses in a Lehigh County shooting last year that left a 43-year-old man dead, authorities announced. Raymond B. Gourgue, 35, is accused of firing the shots that killed Jose Bermudez, of Allentown, on the 100 block of North Hall Street around 10:30 p.m. on May 14, 2021, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca. State Police are investigating the cause of a train collision in Northampton County that left a car almost entirely destroyed. The Forks Township Fire Dept. responded to the crash on Route 191 in Stockertown on the afternoon of Tuesday, Aug. 30, the squad said. Missing Man Found Dead In Northampton County
The body of a 31-year-old man reported missing last week was found near a hiking trail in Northampton County Sunday, Aug. 7, authorities announced.
