Cumberland County Woman Slammed Into Cars, Charged With DUI
A Cumberland County woman has been arrested for a DUI after driving her car into parked vehicles, according to Upper Allen police. Jasmin Newborn, 35, of the 800 Block Northern Spy Drive, Mechanicsburg, was arrested Sunday morning. Police were called to a vehicle crash in the 100 block of Kim Acres Drive at 3:35 a.m. Newborn was found at the scene. An investigation determined Newborn was traveling east on Kim Acres Drive when her vehicle left the roadway and crashed into multiple parked vehicles in the driveway of a private residence. Two young girls have died and four other people have been hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash along Interstate 81 in Cumberland County. Three vehicles collided near mile marker 54 in Silver Springs Township on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. A Volkswagon Tiguan crossed the grass median of the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes colliding with a Ford F150 and Ford Focus, according to Pennsylvania State police. Coroner ID's Man Who Fell 40FT. To His Death In Diesel Pit At Norfolk Southern In Cumberland Co
A coroner was called to Norfolk Southern's railyard in Cumberland County after a man fell to his death. Emergency Dispatch Services sent a coroner to the fatal scene at the Enola Yard located at 218 North Enola Road on Wednesday shortly before 5 p.m. The man was identified as, Stuart Riggs, 58, of Mechanicsburg, according to the Cumberland County coroner. A guard rail failed, causing Riggs to fall into a 40 foot diesel pit. Riggs was declared deceased at 5:15 p.m. His cause of death was traumatic injuries and it was ruled accidental.
