A Florida man has yet again been caught with a loaded gun at a Pennsylvania airport and another man brought a loaded gun to Pennsylvania airport on Christmas Day — both claimed they found that they had their loaded guns on them. A Mechanicsburg church security guard was stopped with a loaded gun at an airport security checkpoint on Friday, March 31, 2023, according to the TSA the following Monday. An unnamed Mechanicsburg man "told officials that he carries the gun with him when he goes to church because he serves on the church security detail and forgot that he had it with him when he headed to the airport for his flight," as stated in the release. A Florida man inadvertently helped the Transportation Security Administration officers at Harrisburg International Airport set the record for most guns found in a year on Thursday, Dec. 15, according to the TSA on the following Tuesday. Two women at two separate airports in Pennsylvania were caught with loaded guns on Thursday, July 21, according to releases by the TSA. A Swissvale woman was stopped at the Pittsburgh International Airport security checkpoint with a 9 mm gun loaded with two bullets, with an additional 35 bullets packed in her carry-on, officers say. A man from Lebanon County was caught trying to bring a revolver onto an airplane in his carryon bag while at Harrisburg International Airport on Sunday, Apr. 17, according to a release by the Transportation Security Administration.
