Burglary, Vandalism Reported At Shippensburg Memorial Park Maintenance Building: Police A burglary and vandalism incident at Memorial Park in Shippensburg, Franklin County, is under investigation, Shippensburg Police announced Monday, Dec. 2. The Parks and Recreation Maintenance building at 21 Park Place was broken into sometime between Saturday, Nov. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, authorities said. Items were stolen from the building, and the men's bathroom was destroyed with a bat, police stated in the release. Shippensburg Police are asking the public for help in solving this crime. Water Balloons Thrown From Bridge Damage Cars On Rt 222: Ephrata Police Cars were damaged after items thought to be water balloons were thrown from an overpass, Ephrata police announced on Friday, Aug. 2.  Two vehicles were heading north on Route 222 when they were struck by the falling items at the East Mohler Church Road overpass, around midnight on Aug, 1. "One vehicle sustained a large dent to the hood, and the other sustained a cracked windshield," the police stated in the release.  Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact Officer Martin with the Ephrata Police Department.

Vandals Intentionally Disabled Windmills In Schuylkill County: State Police Authorities are looking for the vandals who fired a gun into commercial windmills in Union Township.  State police said it's happened multiple times since March.  The vandals pry open the ventilation gates on the door of the windmills' electrical compartments, then fire a gun at the components inside, causing significant damage and shutting down the turbines, troopers said.  Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Frackville at 610-378-4454 or submit a tip online.
