PA Coach, Officer Arthur R. "Arty" Erle Dies From Illness A police officer, high school baseball and wrestling coach, middle school baseball and volleyball coach, as well as the founding member of a non-profit, has died.  Arthur R. “Arty” Erle, 52, of Springfield formerly of Glenolden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, according to his obituary posted by Lombardo Funeral Homes.  The Drexel Hill native graduated from Interboro High School in 1990, and a 1998 graduate of the Philadelphia Police Academy who went on to serve as a Corrections Officer at Delaware County Prison, and as a Police Officer for Upper Darby Township for the past…

$3 Million Scratch-Off Ticket Sold In Eastern PA A Delaware County shopper stopped by a grocery store this week and left with $3 million, say Pennsylvania Lottery officials. The lucky winner earned the top prize from a $3 Million Fun Fortune Scratch-Off, a $30 game, according to state gaming reps.  The ACME Market at 815 North Lansdowne Avenue in Upper Darby Township will now receive a $10,000 bonus check for vending the winning ticket, they added.  Scratch-off tickets expire one year after the end-sale date, and winners should immediately sign the back of their ticket before calling the lottery at 1-800-692-7481…
