Lancaster Mounted Police Horse Featured In Children's Book Dies Of Cushing's Disease A beloved police horse featured in numerous magazines and a children's book, has died from Cushing's Disease, the Lancaster City Bureau of Police announced on Monday, April 8. The Lancaster Mounted Police Horse, Liam, was a Clydesdale Hackney Cross born in Toronto in 2001, where he worked as a carriage horse before financial constraints lead the previous caretaker to part ways.
