Tractor-Trailer Carrying 500+ Pigs Overturns On Highway: PennDOT Hundreds of pigs are being rounded up on a Pennsylvania highway on Tuesday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler.  The tractor-trailer that was hauling over 500 pigs overturned along 641 near Ridge Road in North Newton Township, around 1 p.m. on Nov. 7, Schreffler explained.  "Some little piggies have made a run for freedom, but are being rounded up. The stinky spill happened in the 8100 block of Molly Pitcher Highway North/US 11 in Southampton Township, Shippensburg around 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 13.  The roadway was closed between Clearfield Road and Temporary Drive, the Shippensburg Fire Department said. The rollover caused delays between Mount Rock Road and Temporary Drive, according to PennDOT. PA Amish Boy Tossed 84 Feet After Strike By SUV: Authorities An 11-year-old Amish boy was struck dead on Friday, authorities say.  Samuel K. Bear Struck Dead On US Rt. 15 In PA: Authorities (Photos) A bear was killed when a pick-up truck hit it on US Route 15 in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, authorities say.  A white pick-up truck hit the bear crossing Rt. 15 north a little after 10 a.m. on July 26, 2023, according to the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department.
