PA 19-Year-Old Motorcyclist ID'd After Fatal Pickup Collision: Coroner
A 19-year-old motorcyclist has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash, the Lancaster County Coroner announced on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Brandon Michael Wenger, 19, of Stevens, was involved in a collision with a pickup truck on Route 322 in Earl Township on the evening of Oct. 8, according to the release. Wenger was taken to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:38 p.m. on Oct. 9, according to the coroner. Funeral details have been released for a Pennsylvania middle school student who died more than two weeks after an incident while swimming with friends. Emilio Tarr died on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1:13 p.m., according to a GoFundMe campaign launched by his mom, Elaina Tarr. He was a sixth grader at Elkins Park School in Cheltenham. A longtime member of the Lower Paxton Township police has suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, the department announced on Wednesday, July 24. Detective Steven Wertz, 42, was off-duty duty when he passed away, officials with the department explained. The date of his passing was not released at the time of publishing. A community has rallied, raising over $168,000 in less than 48 hours to cover the funeral cost and support the family of the slain McKeesport police officer Sean Leonard "Slug" Sluganski.
