Phillipsburg Man Accused Of Robbery, Carjacking Jailed In PA, Prosecutor Says
A Phillipsburg man accused of carjacking a woman at gunpoint earlier this month was arrested and jailed in Pennsylvania, authorities said.
Dennie J. Vella, of Hudson Street, was charged Monday with first-degree robbery, first-degree carjacking and second-degree possession of a weapon following the May 11 incident near main St. in Phillipsburg, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a release.
Vella, 44, is accused of carjacking a woman who agreed to give him a ride to Wawa, LehighValleyLive reports.

A Pennsylvania mother and her boyfriend were jailed after they allegedly beat her six-year-old son multiple times using an instrument causing bruises and welts, police said.
Nathalia Nunez Gervacio, 24, and Vincent F. Napolitano, 34, were taken into custody April 30 following an investigation by Slate Belt Regional Detectives, who were notified by Northampton County Children and Youth, police said.
Gervacio is accused of beating her son numerous times between April 25 and April 28, while Napolitano allegedly abused the boy on April 29, Slate Belt Police said.

A Pennsylvania man has been charged in connection to a series of rapes on a boy in Northampton County spanning 12 years, authorities said.
Thomas Alfonso Boneta, 56, is accused of sexually assaulting the victim in Bangor starting from the age of 8 in 2007 through the age of 20, LehighValleyLive reports citing court records.
The boy’s younger brother was also targeted, police said.

A Bethlehem man accused of burglarizing several local businesses was charged with six felonies, authorities said.
Kevin Mamuzich, 44, was identified as the suspect in Saturday morning break-ins at Nail City on Broadway, as well as Goosey Gander and Hair By Eskandalo, both on W. Fourth Street, LehighValleyLive reports citing police records.
