A Teaneck man was arrested on multiple charges after police discovered a firearm, drugs, and paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Sussex Road, authorities said. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, detectives from the Teaneck Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit approached a vehicle displaying a fictitious registration and illegally parked on Sussex Road. Inside, they found Gene M. Wigfall, 48, who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants out of Hackensack and Lincoln Park Municipal Courts. Hackensack Man Dies In Route 80 Crash
A 66-year-old Hackensack man died in a crash on Route 80 in Bergen County on Friday, Nov. 15, police said. Wayne Duncan was heading west when his Lexus veered off the roadway to the right and struck the guardrail at milepost 61.4 in Elmwood Park around 12:51 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The vehicle then crossed all lanes and collided with the center concrete barrier. As a result of the crash, Duncan succumbed to his injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.

A New Jersey corrections officer has been arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said. Austin Metivier, 34, of Mount Holly, was taken into custody at the Burlington County Jail, where he works, and lodged at the Camden County Jail, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Pemberton Township Police Chief Jonathan Glass said.
