Police officers in a Hudson Valley town have increased police patrols at bus stops after an alleged attempted luring incident. The incident took place in Rockland County between 7:15 a.m. and 7:40 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 22 in Ramapo in the area of North Airmont Road and Spook Rock Road. A man who received a DWI in Rockland County in the past year was busted by police in Ramapo driving with a blood alcohol content more than triple the legal limit, police said. Traffic was temporarily tied up on a busy Ramapo roadway on Monday morning after a driver blew through a red light and struck a motorcyclist, police said. Officers from the Ramapo Police Department responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on North Airmont Road on Monday morning, involving a minivan that struck a man on a motorcycle. A strange scene unfolded in Ramapo on Tuesday when a suspect was involved in a motor vehicle crash, stole the other motorist’s car keys and later returned to the scene of the initial incident with lunch while police were on scene. Road Closed In Ramapo During Tree Removal
Motorists traveling through Ramapo have been advised to avoid Montebello Road as crews continue cleaning up the area following the weekend Nor’easter. The Ramapo Police Department issued an alert cautioning that Montebello Road will be closed from Mile Road to North Airmont Road on Tuesday as crews complete tree removal in the area in advance of a second winter storm. Police said the roadway is expected to be closed until approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Motorists have been advised to seek alternate routes, if possible.

Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck By Vehicle In Ramapo
A pedestrian struck by a vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the Ramapo Police. The pedestrian, who was hit around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 59 and North Airmont Road, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Ramapo Valley Ambulance and is expected to recover.
