Suspect Nabbed For Stealing Audi, TV, Computer From Area Residence, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man is facing felony charges after police said he stole a luxury car, a television, and a computer from an area home.
Police responded to a report of a burglary at a home in Ulster County on State Route 209 in the Town of Rochester at about 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, according to New York State Police.
Investigators found that a 2012 Audi A4, a television, and a computer were missing from the home.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested for the alleged rape of two victims in the area both under the age of 15.
Orange County resident Jeffrey Arenas, age 22, of Wallkill, was arrested and charged in Ulster County with rape and criminal sexual act, by the New Paltz Police.
According to police, on Tuesday, June 15, the New Paltz Police Department Detective Division was notified that two juvenile females had been sexually assaulted by the same adult male.

Sex Offender Nabbed For Area Robbery, Police Say
A Level 3 sex offender has been arrested for an alleged robbery in the area.
Orange County resident Donovan Hoilett, age 30, of Newburgh, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 7, by New Paltz Police after he was spotted in Ulster County, according to authorities.
Hoilett was wanted by police for a robbery that took place on Saturday, July 24 in New Paltz, said New Paltz Police Chief Robert Lucchesi.
Following a two-week-long investigation, probable cause was established to charge Hoilett with the robbery, the chief said.

A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for allegedly harassing children at an area pool and then seriously attacking two police officers.
Ulster County resident Aidan S. Sullivan, age 45, was arrested on Tuesday, July 13, in New Paltz.
Police officers responded to Moriello Pool, located at 32 Mulberry Street for a report of an adult male who was intoxicated and threatening juveniles, said New Paltz Chief Robert Lucchesi.

Man Chokes, Assaults Woman During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
A 28-year-old area man turned himself in to police following a domestic dispute in which he allegedly choked and assault a woman.
The arrest stems from a domestic dispute that took place on Sunday, May 3, in Ulster County, said Lt. Scott D. Butler of the New Paltz Police Department.
When police responded to the home around 10:45 p.m., they interviewed the victim who said Michael G. Detheridge, of Wappingers Falls, had allegedly choked and assaulted, including pushing her and causing her head to strike a kitchen counter, Butler said.

A pedestrian walking in the crosswalk was struck by a vehicle at a busy intersection in the area, police say.
The Ulster County incident took place around 7:54 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the intersection of Main Street and South Oakwood in New Paltz
The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries, said New Paltz Police Lt. Robert Lucchesi.

One In Custody After Downtown Stabbing In Area
A 25-year-old area man is under arrest after he allegedly stabbed another man.
Devin C. Smith, of New Paltz, was arrested around 10:20 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24, and charged with one count of felony assault, said Lt. Robert Lucchesi of the New Paltz Police Department.
According to Lucchesi, police responded to the area of Main and North Front streets for a reported stabbing. Once on the scene, they found Smith, who was being detained by bystanders.
