Two Charged For Rockland Crash That Killed Pair Of Teens
More than eight months after a horrific crash in Rockland County that left two teens dead, police have charged two drivers with criminally negligent homicide.
The charges were announced by Orangetown Police on Wednesday, June 24, in connection with the fatal crash which took place on Route 304 on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, in Pearl River.
Charged in the crash were Aisha Radoncic, who was 17 at the time, and Jason Castro, of Nanuet, who are accused of driving recklessly as they raced before crashing, killing two people in Radoncic's 2017 Porsche Macan, Captain James Brown said.

As a new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) testing site has opened in Spring Valley, Rockland County continues to see much fewer COVID-19 cases.
According to numbers from the state Department of Health, there has been a total of 13,280 cases since the pandemic began with the highest number of cases located in Spring Valley with 2,897.

A 43-year-old nurse and mother of two young children died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
A Rockland County resident and a nurse manager at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital, Kelly Mazzarella, died on Friday, May 8, from complications from COVID-19.
Mazzarella, of Pearl River, leaves behind her husband Ronnie Mazzarella, and the two daughters, Hailey and Kristina, according to a GoFundMe page.
The fund was organized by a close friend, Nicole Maursky, in an effort to help the family cover funeral and medical expenses, as well as money for living expenses.
