The man who killed three family members, and injured three more, in a drunken crash will spend a lengthy stay in prison, authorities announced.
Dante Lennon, age 23 of Freeport, was sentenced to six to 18 years behind bars on Monday, June 17, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
Over two years before, on May 21, 2022, Lennon was drunk, driving his Mercedes Benz eastbound on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park.

Kevin Torres, also known as “Sarco,” faced his conviction on Wednesday, June 5 after a trial in which the jury deliberated for less than an hour, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.

A Long Island man man has pleaded guilty to murder for the shooting death of a 25-year-old during an argument.
Ryan Hamilton, age 24, of Hempstead, admitted to the murder of Trendabi Reid in May 2021, on Thursday, Feb. 15, said Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly.

Richard Bopp, age 45, of Malverne, faced his charges on Thursday, Feb. 8, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
Bopp served as Chief of the Malverne Fire Department from 2019 to 2021; then, starting in April 2021, he became the department’s treasurer.
