Mount Vernon Woman, 39, Fatally Shot In Bronx
A 39-year-old Westchester County woman was shot and killed in the Bronx, prompting a search for the person responsible.
The fatal shooting happened at around 11:56 p.m. on Monday, July 13, outside 4385 Murdock Ave. in the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
Officers responding to a 911 call reporting an assault found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her abdomen.
The woman, identified by police as Julia Anderson of Mount Vernon, was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where she was pronounced dead.

Police in Connecticut have arrested two juvenile suspects in connection with the deadly shooting outside a Waterbury nightclub over the July Fourth weekend.
Trevon Dunbar, 22, and Zaniya Dawkins, 18, both of Waterbury, were shot outside LA 42 Night Club in Waterbury just after midnight on Sunday, July 5, police said. Both were taken to area hospitals, where Dunbar died Monday, and Dawkins succumbed to her wounds Tuesday.

Missing Former Town Supervisor: Search Ends In Dover, But Investigation Active (Update)
UPDATE: Police are continuing to search for a missing 49-year-old man who was last seen in Dutchess County.
Ryan Courtien, 49, of Dover, was last seen at around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, in the area of Waldo Road in Dover, according to New York State Police.
Authorities said Courtien was wearing tan pants and a long-sleeved black T-shirt when he was last seen.
In an update on Wednesday afternoon, July 15, State Police said the search for Courtien in the Town of Dover has concluded. However, the investigation is active, and more leads are being pursued, police said.
