A 30-year-old Islip man was struck by a car in East Islip at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, the Suffolk County Police Department said. He was traveling east on Union Boulevard near the intersection of Carleton Avenue when an eastbound Chrysler Concorde struck him, SCPD said. Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Long Island Building A 68-year-old man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing his vehicle into a building. The incident took place around 12:40 a.m., Monday, Feb. 24, at 100 Carleton Avenue in East Islip, said the Suffolk County Police. Conrad Levesque, of Central Islip, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche on Union Boulevard when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a vacant commercial building, police said.
