2 Shot During Disturbance In Newburgh Two people received non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the Hudson Valley during an incident. The shooting took place in Orange County around 4 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, in the area of 182 Lander Street. According to Newburgh Chief of Staff Mike Neppl, responding officers located two victims who were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh with injuries that do not appear life-threatening. Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Near New Hamburg Station A person was killed after being struck by a Metro-North train in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 11:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in New Hamburg, a hamlet of Poughkeepsie. Orangetown Crash Sends 1 To Hospital, Police Looking For Witnesses A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road. Possible Darien Home Burglary Under Investigation Detectives in Fairfiefld County are investigating a possible home burglary after the resident found items disturbed. The incident occurred in Darien on Friday, at a multi-family residence on West Avenue. According to Sgt. Mauricio Vigil of the Darien Police, the resident told officers she found the blood-like substance in the bathroom and disturbed items after returning from work. The residence was unoccupied with the door unlocked; however, no items were reported missing, Vigil said.  The case remains under investigation by the Darien Detective Division.

4 Charged With Selling Pot In Stratford Smoke Shop Bust Four employees of a Fairfield County smoke shop have been charged with allegedly selling marijuana without a license. The arrests occurred on Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Cream Smoke Shop at 955 Ferry Blvd., in Stratford. According to Capt.
