Thieves broke into a Wyckoff home, snatched the owner's car keys, then led a chase that at one point hit 120 miles an hour before they crashed into an East Orange police car later on, authorities confirmed. Two of those responsible were also involved in an armed home invasion and the theft of another vehicle in Livingston, law enforcement sources said. A pair of porch pirates managed to get themselves caught before they had a chance to strike again, thanks to a Wyckoff police officer, authorities said. Officer Robert Schlossberg paused when he spotted a Dodge Durango parked behind a UPS truck making a delivery on Godwin Avenue. A 3-year-old boy who'd stopped breathing and was turning blue at the Wyckoff YMCA was revived Friday by a pair of police officers, authorities said. YMCA staff were tending to the boy, who "was unresponsive and cyanotic" when Officers Robert Schlossberg and Michael Scalise around 12:30 p.m., Lt. Joseph Soto said. The officer conducted CPR while clearing the boy's airway of obstructions, Soto said. Wyckoff firefighters quickly doused a damaging, pre-dawn blaze Wednesday at a retreat for children with developmental disabilities. The search for a missing 10-year-old Franklin Lakes boy ended early Wednesday evening when he returned home after several hours, police said, adding that the youngster was OK.
