Prostitution Bust At Motels, Massage Parlors Nets 18 Arrests, $22K: Passaic Sheriff
Eighteen people were arrested and more than $22,000 was seized in a widespread prostitution bust across Passaic County, authorities said.
Acting on citizen complains, multiple divisions of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office conducted a quality of life operation on July 23 and 24, Acting Sheriff Gary Giardina said.
The detail targeted massage parlors and hotels across Passaic County, and found that the establishments were collecting illegal profits through prostitution related activities, Giardina said. The total number seized was $22,206.

Sixteen arrests were made and $35,840 in alleged profits seized by Passaic County sheriff's detectives during a two-day series of prostitution raids at massage parlors and hotels countywide, authorities said.
Key “pay-to-play” locations for illegal sex were pinpointed in Clifton, Paterson, Passaic, Wayne, and Woodland Park, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said.
Nearly all were chosen for the quality-of-life operations following citizens’ complaints, the sheriff said.

A group of pediatric dentists in New Jersey and New York who were outed by a former worker for conducting medically unnecessary root canals on children agreed to pay more than $750,000 to settle charges against them, authorities in both states announced.
Formerly known as HQRC Management Services LLC, the targeted practice was run by dentist Barry L. Jacobson, most recently of Alpine, NJ, they said.

Stop Near GWB Leads To Hidden $150,000, Arrest Of NYC Driver, Prosecutor Says
A money launderer from Queens was caught with more than $150,000 in cash stashed throughout an SUV during a traffic stop in Fort Lee, authorities said.
Investigators with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Task Force stopped a Chevy Suburban driven by Hongwei Zheng, a 39-year-old liquor store cashier from Flushing, late last week, Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
They found $158,900.00 in cash “concealed in different locations in the vehicle,” Musella said.
Authorities seized the cash for forfeiture, the prosecutor said.

ID Released For Driver Killed In Route 80 Crash
State Police have released the identity of the driver killed in an early morning crash on Route 80 eastbound.
Ping Chu, 50, was behind the wheel of a Toyota Sienna near milepost 10.4 in Hope Township (Warren County) when the vehicle struck the left guardrail, re-entered the highway, crossed all lanes, hit the right guardrail, ran off the roadway completely and struck multiple trees around 7 a.m. Tuesday, NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota told Daily Voice.

Queens Man With Morris County Warrants Busted With Ecstasy At Secaucus Motel
A Queens, NY man with two warrants out for his arrest was busted with ecstasy in a Secaucus motel parking lot, authorities said.
Officers who saw a suspicious car in the Red Roof Inn parking lot found Marc Webb, of Flushing, around 12:05 a.m., Sept. 16, Chief Dennis Miller said.
Weber, 37, was found with marijuana and ecstasy, and had warrants out of Mount Olive for $250 and $500, Miller said.
He was charged with resisting arrest, intent to distribute and other various drug charges.
Webb was served his complaint warrant and subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
