Authorities are seeking more information relating to a woman's found over the summer in Elizabeth. The woman’s body was found on the afternoon of June 11 along railroad tracks off of the 300 block of Port Avenue, Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo said alongside law enforcement. Forensic examination determined that the woman was a Black and/or Hispanic female, 25 to 35 years of age with a slender build. Bergen County Woman Killed In Nutley Hit-Run
A 75-year-old Bergen County resident was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run Nutley crash. Roseann Ratz and a friend were crossing the street near Washington Avenue and Rutgers Place when she was struck by a car around 7:30 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Nutley Police Chief Thomas J. Strumolo said. Ratz, of Lyndhurst, was taken to St. Joseph’s University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead just before 8 p.m. The investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests had been made as of Friday afternoon.

Authorities are seeking the public's help in the investigation of a Jersey City shooting that killed a 22-year-old woman. Francis Villa was found lifeless with a gunshot wound in a Forrest Street apartment between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Ocean Avenue around 6 p.m. Monday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Authorities said Tuesday that they’ve found no proof that a 19-year-old Lodi man accused of killing a Cresskill woman in her home was a predator who recruited the victim's 14-year-old daughter for the sex trade. Irvington Teen Armed With Gun Stabbed To Death During Fight: Prosecutor
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death of an 18-year-old in Irvington Wednesday night. Shaquan N. Kearson arrived at the 700 block of Springfield Avenue to confront a resident over a dispute, according to a preliminary investigation by authorities.
